your are at the right place if you are looking for diet shifting tips

Adopting and living a healthier lifestyle might seem almost impossible to do in this fast food generation. Balancing nutrition, exercise, and inner happiness! Here I invited my friend Ms. Zalina to give us some friendly advice on her personal journey from a junk food lifestyle to a diet conscious way of living.

Question: Please tell us about your eating habits before you adopted a healthy diet.

Zalina: “I used to eat a lot of food with unhealthy fats and high calories like bread and pastries. I also tended to eat more junk food like burgers, fries, pizza or prepared food from supermarkets.”

Question: What inspired you to change your diet?

Zalina: “I felt uncomfortable in my own body; I could feel the damage I had caused because I would have less energy and get tired very fast. And I also got affected a lot emotionally as I lacked self-confidence and would feel depressed most of the time.”

Question: What are the main changes in diet that you have adopted?

Zalina: “I turned my nutrition upside down. No more unhealthy fats, no prepared meals from supermarkets and I stopped eating junk food. I cooked my own healthy food consisting of low carbs, less calories and healthy fats like coconut or olive oil. And also, I would workout at least 3 to 4 times a week for 1 to 2 hours.”

Question: What role do your parents play in maintaining your balanced diet?

Zalina: “They supported me through my whole diet. My mum would help me to prepare my meals and my dad joined me in my diet.”

Question: What is a balanced diet for you?

Zalina: “A balanced diet for me consists of low carbohydrates and eating more of vegetables and fruits, but at the same time fats and proteins. I would treat myself with a little bit of chocolate or other sweets at least once a week.”

Question: What advice would you give to our fellow readers out there?

Zalina: “Treat your body and health right. Don’t damage yourself and try to understand what you’re eating. Try to eat less fats and more healthy foods day by day and you’ll get used to it. I promise that if you follow my advice, you’ll not only help your body, but also your mental health.”

Question: What are your go to recipes?

Zalina: “Couscous with vegetables and grilled chicken, as well as fruit smoothies with almond milk.”
